As a St. John’s Law alumnus and former Adjunct Professor at SJU Law, Troy’s roots in the institution run deep. Troy and Linda’s decision to create this scholarship aims not only to uplift students who may otherwise struggle to afford legal education but also to honor the victims, survivors, and families affected by the terrorist attacks of 9/11. The Troy & Linda Rosasco Endowed 9/11 Memorial Scholarship is awarded to St. John’s Law students who demonstrate both financial need and a passion for public service. Focusing on students who intend to serve their communities, the scholarship supports the values of service and empowerment that have defined Troy’s career.

The first scholarship recipient was honored at a reception held at the Harmonie Club in Manhattan, attended by notable alumni and faculty. The reception was a celebration not only of the scholarship, but also of the larger vision of service behind it.

During the reception, Troy spoke about his connection to St. John’s and the inspiration behind the scholarship: “We’ve employed multiple students from St. John’s Law School over the years. They are an integral part of our team. In the same spirit of giving back to my alma mater, my wife and I established a scholarship to inspire students to embrace St. John’s Vincentian value of helping those in need.”

Troy’s words reflect his belief in the power of education and the importance of service to the community. Troy and Linda’s scholarship is more than a financial gift – it is a call to action for students to dedicate their studies and careers to meaningful work that gives back to their communities.
